Path of Exile: KromsBane 00

Blog Series Introduction


For KromsBane, I wanted to play a melee character with elemental damage.  Based on research, it seems like Molten Strike/Lightning Strike is want I want.  After some play test, I have settle on Molten Strike for now.  The reason is Molten Strike has AOE, with Lightning Strike the secondary projectiles will only hit one enemy per projectile for now.  Seems like additional support gem for chaining and forking is required to make the lightning attack hit more enemies.  Molten Strike will hit all enemies within AOE thus fits my lazy playing style better.  I did notice I have to herd the enemy more to get them into the AOE range compare to Lightning Strike where I just have to make sure the enemies are behind the targeted enemy.


With Molten Strike as the primary skill I have decided to use a two handed axe to maximize damage potential. This build will focus heavily on damage, life, and armor for passive and the first passive skill goal is to get Iron Grip so strength bonus can be applied to projectiles.  Other than that the character is open right now, need some defensive options and maybe movement skill eventually, but first order of business will be increasing the damage output.

Path of Exile: playing blog introductions

This is a blog series about characters I am playing in Path of Exile.  The concept behind these characters are that they do not follow any online build, I will pick skills/equipment that sounded good.  However I will use online resources to valid some skills works the way I intended and also to find information about items and game mechanics.


All the characters will be created in the Leagues.  Because I have limited time to play I probably won't make it too far for each character but that's ok, this is just for fun.  I might choose to continue playing the character after the League has ended if I like the character enough.
